If you’ve never zipped down the tallest waterslide in Pennsylvania, you’ll probably want to add it to your must do list this summer.

Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom, in Allentown, lay claim to one of the tallest waterslides in the United States – and, at one time, in the entire world.

While the 70-foot tall Aquablast may no longer hold the title of the world’s longest elevated waterslide, it certainly promises fast-paced thrills as you zip down 700 feet.

If you’re a bit hesitant to take on the waterslide, don’t worry. You won’t be alone. You’ll climb into the eight-foot raft with up to three others.

All riders must measure a minimum of 46 inches tall to ride, and you’ll have to sit in the raft as instructed (to ensure your safety and a good time for all).

However, first you’ll have to reach the top of the slide, which means you’ll climb 120 stairs to begin your adventure.

Be prepared for the raft to sway from side to side as it slowly starts heading downward before you suddenly start zipping faster and faster.

The ride culminates with the raft falling into a crystal clear splash pool.
