Off the beaten path on the far eastern edge of West Virginia, there’s a beautiful mountain lake hiding in the National Forest: Rockcliff Lake.

This stunning body of water is an impoundment lake located in Trout Pond Recreation Area, between Lost City, West Virginia and Woodstock, Virginia.
