Wyoming is the perfect state for ghosts and apparitions to lurk around with its abundance of Wild West history and ghost towns. - Old Faithful Inn - Yellowstone National Park
Flickr/Henrik Johansson The Old Faithful Inn is located in Yellowstone National Park and offers a view of Old Faithful Geyser. It is the largest log hotel in the world. At Old Faithful Inn, rumor has it that a spirit of a man with a black hat and a spirit of a bride appear occasionally. Supposedly, the husband beheaded his wife on their wedding night.
- Wind River Indian Reservation
Flickr/Show Us Your Togwotee The Wind River Indian Reservation was established for the Shoshone Indians in 1868. It is said that a child spirit follows you around outside at night while whispering in your ear.
- St. Stephen’s - Riverton
Flickr/T.Novotny At St. Stephen’s School, some have reported hearing the whispering and screaming of two nuns that died by hanging themselves. On occasion, they even make an appearance.
- Hot Springs County Library - Thermopolis

- The Historic Occidental Hotel - Buffalo
Flickr/Jimmy Emerson, DVM The Historic Occidental Hotel is a restored frontier hotel where Butch Cassidy and Calamity Jane spent some of their time. A daughter of a prostitute who passed away on the upper level is said to visit quite frequently.
- The Sheridan Inn
Flickr/Jimmy Emerson, DVM A maid named Miss Kate makes noises, startles guests, turns lights off and on, and sets the fire alarm off. Her ashes are located on the third floor behind a wall where you can sometimes see a rocking chair rock all by itself. Other spirits include a little girl and the son-in-law of Buffalo Bill Cody who shot himself in one of the rooms. Buffalo Bill Cody managed this hotel at one time.
- Historic Hotel Greybull
Flickr/David Grant The Historic Hotel Greybull was built back in 1916 out of brick and concrete which was a little unusual for its time. It has been reported that six or seven spirits haunt the premises.
- Northwest College - Powell
Flickr/Steven Josephson Occupants have experienced footsteps in the shower, chairs scraping the floor, cabinets opening and shutting in locked rooms, an oven being turned on high, funny smells, and buckets of cold water turning hot and then back to cold again. Shadows acting out a play have been reported in the auditorium as well.
- Irma Hotel - Cody
Flickr/Melanie Wynne Buffalo Bill’s Irma Hotel was built in 1902. People have reported seeing an apparition dressed in a 1800s uniform in the main dining room near the cherry bar. Irma is also said to be seen roaming the halls of the second floor at unusual times and there seems to be an aggressive presence in the kitchen.
