Then head over to the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad, which houses the James H. Andrew Railroad Museum.

Another not-to-be-missed stop in Boone is the Kate Shelley High Bridge and Museum.

Just a few miles south of Boone, you can find one of the most popular state parks in Iowa: Ledges State Park.
