Marking the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, which gave women the right to vote, the Suffrage Centennial Block Party will take place between August 29, 2020, and September 4, 2020, via a virtual event.

In order to engage in activities that are safe and fun, the event will be available through your laptop or other Internet devices. Participants are encouraged to enjoy the festivities from the comfort of their homes.

Those who wish to join this virtual block party must register ahead of time and may pick up a free toolkit of goodies that includes a banner, tea, a fan, bingo card, lapel pin, and more.

The toolkits can be picked up at Angel Mounds. For those unable to secure one, online materials will be available, including coloring pages and historical information.

Many of the events you will witness during this virtual block party will take place at either Vincennes State Historic Sites or Angle Mounds. There will be many talks and stories from women from all walks of life.
