This time of year, there’s no shortage of scary venues where you can immerse yourself in all things creepy and ghoulish and get into the Halloween spirit. You can spend a bunch of cash for your family to attend one of the many haunted houses around the state, but if you’re looking for a free activity, Canyon Road Haunt is the perfect place to go, and you can even go during the day so that the littlest members of the family won’t be quite as scared.
Every fall, the Nichol family of Pleasant Grove decorates their property with tons of Halloween spooks and thrills. This isn’t an ordinary front-yard with decorations; it’s a drive-through spook alley!

The haunt is open for visitors every day until 10:30 p.m., so if you have younger kids, you can go during daylight hours when the decorations aren’t quite as scary.
