For residents of Georgia, it’s no surprise that the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains were just listed as one of the most beautiful places in the world by U.S. News Travel. This comprehensive list of coveted world travel spots sure does have some spectacularly beautiful places to visit, like the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland to Angel’s Falls in Venezuela. And while there are plenty of U.S. states that did not make the list, we are happy to represent part of the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia.

The Blue Ridge Mountains run through various states from Pennsylvania all the way through Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina before ending in Northern Georgia.

Traveling down this mountain range during spring and summer might just yield some epic views of water too, from various streams and a few major rivers like the Roanoke, James, and Potomac.

Cumberland Island is also a secluded beach where wild horses roam freely! These three beaches quite possibly make up the best-of-the-best in Georgia.
