There are lots of options for staying cool in the Badger State. We’ve got countless water parks, swimming holes, and beaches. We even have a few places that are a combination of all three – and that’s exactly the case with Fireman’s Park. The perfect place to beat the heat, the park features a limestone-quarry-turned-swimming-hole, beach, waterslide, and a splash pad. Take a look:

After a massive upgrade last summer, Fireman’s Park Beach (otherwise known as Verona Beach) is like a little piece of paradise.

In addition to sprucing up the beach area, the upgrades included the installation of a new splash pad as well as a new shelter with changing rooms.

The updates haven’t gone unnoticed either. Parkgoers consistently sing the praises of the park, declaring it the perfect summertime visit for families.

The quarry-turned-swimming-hole, which features a waterslide and beach, is probably the park’s most popular perk.

Although, the new and improved splash pad is definitely a close second.

The park’s amazing attributes don’t end there, though. There’s also a playground, concession stand, picnic tables, and lifeguards, ensuring swimmers of all ages and skill levels are safe.

But one of the best things about the park is that a visit won’t break the bank. The park’s amenities, except for the beach, can be used free of charge.

Beyond reasonable, beach admission for Verona residents is $2 for kids and $3 for adults. Admission for non-residents is $4 for kids and $5 for adults.

Please note: In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, beach capacity is limited to 125 people. That capacity has been reached several times so far. In effort to alleviate issues with people showing up and not being able to swim, the park is implementing an online sign-up, which allows visitors to reserve a specific time slot.

This isn’t the only place you can cool off and have some fun. Read about another here.
