When a restaurant’s been in business for nearly 100 years, they’ve got to be doing something right. And in the case of Coney Island Station, that “something” is hot dogs. Yep, the legendary eatery has been doling out doggone good dogs since the 1920s, making it one of the state’s tastiest traditions. Take a look:

Since the opening of the original Coney Island Station in downtown La Crosse, three additional locations have been opened - two in La Crosse and one in Holmen.

And while the grub is the same at all four restaurants, nothing quite compares to the original, which is charmingly and authentically old-fashioned.

Of course, the grub is what truly counts, so a visit to any locale is sure to do the trick when you’ve got a hankering for a hot dog.

It’s not just the hot dogs that patrons love, though. The eatery’s signature chili sauce is also a customer favorite, and the perfect addition to any hot dog.

Can’t make it to Coney Island Station? No problem. The eatery will actually ship its hot dogs and famous chili sauce to any state in the country – something it’s been doing since 1998, when a former La Crosse resident requested that the eatery ship 100 hot dogs to Hawaii.
