360yourspace/Google The cemetery dates back to the 1700s and is significant for several reasons. It is the final resting place of the most Mayflower descendants anywhere outside Massachusetts. Other notable burials include Revolutionary War soldiers and Cape May’s own Dr. Emlen Physick.
The church and cemetery are both beautiful, but the grounds are believed to be haunted.

Your tour will end at the iconic Emlen Physick Estate, a gem of a house museum that happens to be haunted.

These can pick up on soundwaves (and voices) that humans can’t hear. I’ve not taken this tour myself but my Godmother said it was very spooky! The stories she told me gave me the chills. It’s on my list for 2021/2022. This particular tour is seasonal and limited to October dates but there are other options!
