From live animal exhibits to scenic views, the network of trails at the Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Park is an all-day adventure worthy of a road trip.

Nestled within a beautiful pine-oak-hickory forest in Shreveport, the Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Park helps to connect people with nature through exhibits, special events, and hands-on activities.

With over 160 acres to explore, you can easily spend an entire day here, strolling the trails and learning about the area.

Kids will love the exhibits, which teach about all of the different wildlife and plants that are found in the area.

And there’s also a deer pen! You’ll have the chance to see these beauties up close and personal before your hike.

The park is free to enter and is open Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
