If you consider yourself a carnivore type, you’ll love the steaks at this unusual fort restaurant in North Dakota. Yes, you read that right – a fort restaurant! Built to look like one of the early forts on the plains from the days of the settlers, this particular spot is certainly unique. That’s not all they have – beyond the quirky appearance, they also have some unique residents, a gift shop, and some of the tastiest steaks you’ll ever try.
When visiting Jamestown, North Dakota for the first time, a stop by the World’s Largest Buffalo, Buffalo Museum, and Frontier Town is pretty much a must.

The fort looks right out of the 1800s, but it’s actually a replica. Still, it holds a special kind of rustic charm. Head inside the Frontier Fort and you’ll be greeted with the delicious smell of freshly-grilled steaks.
