Welcome to Rockford Park, a beautiful landmark in northern Delaware marked by grassy meadows and proximity to the Brandywine River.

The park is positively beautiful in any season, including autumn when the maples offer vibrant colors to the already beautiful landscape.

The crown jewel of the park is, of course, the Rockford Park Tower. This 75-foot stone building was built in 1901.

Its original purpose was twofold: to serve as a water tower and a lookout tower. The steel cylinder water tank is surrounded by spiraling stairs, which visitors can take for incredible views from the top.

At this increased elevation, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding area, including the Brandywine River. It’s nearly impossible not to gain a new appreciation for this part of Delaware after climbing the tower.
