Poe never lived in “The Old Stone House,” which is now dedicated as the Poe Museum of Richmond. He likely walked by this historical landmark many times in his life, but it wasn’t loaned to the Poe Foundation until 1927.

The house, which is believed to be the oldest remaining one in Richmond, is itself worthy of a visit. The stone structure offers a portal into downtown Richmond in the 18th century.
