There are some things every Ohioan needs to experience at least once and some places every Ohioan needs to explore at least once. The original Bob Evans restaurant and farm in Rio Grande belongs on every Ohioan’s bucket list. It’s a one-of-a-kind farm, museum, gift shop and restaurant the whole family can appreciate.

Tucked away in Gallia County, the original Bob Evans restaurant is nestled on a scenic farm.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Homestead is where Bob and Jewel Evans once lived with their children. Today, it’s a company museum and history center.

The annual Bob Evans Farm Festival reminds us all what it’s like “down on the farm” every fall. (And the apple butter is plentiful.)

Of course, before you leave, you’ll want to feast on some farm fresh food at the onsite restaurant. (Breakfast for dinner, anyone?)
