The zip line tour consists of three stages.

Mt Bachelor The first stage drops you just 255 feet to the next platform. Check out Tumalo Mountain and Paulina Peak in the distance. The second stage takes you down the mountain another 263 feet, and you’ll catch glimpses of South Sister. At 3,443 feet, the third stage is the longest, and it includes a whopping 866-foot plunge. This stage is the steepest, and you can reach speeds up to 70 mph!

Before you start your zip line tour, you’ll have an orientation and training session. Look for the North Yurt in the West Village Base Area, where you’ll gear up and learn how to use the ZipTour trolley.

Then, hop on the Pine Marten chairlift and ride up to 7,800. Enjoy the scenery on the way up, because it might be more of a blur on your way back down!

Once you’re at the top, climb the stairs to the first platform. Safety guides will strap you in and double-check the lines.

The zip line is designed for two people to take this adventure together, with two lines that are six feet apart. Give your partner a countdown, then release the trolley…

The zip line tour takes two hours, spans a total of 6,918 feet (1.3 miles), and has a total elevation drop of nearly 1,400 feet. Riders must be a least 10 years old and 48 inches tall, and kids ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The maximum weight is 260 pounds.
