It’s hard to believe that the tiny community of Marysville (population 43 at last count) was once a booming mining town. But in the 1880s and 1890s, it was considered the center of Montana gold mining. While there may not be much of a town left, Marysville is home to the beloved Marysville House Restaurant. This historic gem is loaded with local history, and the food just happens to be fantastic.

You’ll find Marysville House on Main Street in the center of town, where it has been for well over a century.

The train stopped here daily on its way from Helena to Great Falls and on to Fort Benton.
