Located right on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, the family-owned and operated MacDonald’s Resort has welcomed visitors to Idaho’s largest lake since 1951.

The resort is perfectly located about halfway between Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint, right at the southern end of the lake. This means some of North Idaho’s greatest attractions, including Silverwood Theme Park, are just a short drive away.

However, you may not even be able to pull yourself away from these dreamy lakefront cabins. Located just feet away from where the lake begins, cabin guests have a front-row view of Lake Pend Oreille in all of her glory.

Six “upper” cabins can be found on a hill overlooking Hudson Bay, and four “lower” cabins are located right beside the lake. The lower cabins are the way to go if you’d like instant access to the lake since they come with their own patio on the lake or private beach area.
