The park is truly a wonderland of southern Idaho’s iconic rugged beauty. Showcasing the breathtaking scenery of the Snake River Canyon, you’ll find yourself instantly mesmerized by the towering canyon walls, roaring river, and myriad waterfalls that are waiting to be discovered.

Of course, the park’s main attraction is its namesake—Auger Falls. This waterfall is pretty unique as it’s composed of a 30-foot drop in the river. The sight and sound of the “corkscrew” falls is definitely something to remember!

A four-mile loop trail makes it easy and convenient to explore the park’s beauty. From the trailhead, it’s just about a mile until you reach the section of the Snake River with Auger Falls. Continue on and you’ll spot other stunning landmarks in the area, such as Mermaid Falls.

The trail is mostly flat and easy to follow, making it perfect for families and beginning hikers. The gentle, rolling terrain has also made the park popular among mountain bikers.
