Every October, the beautiful resort town of Big Sky celebrates Halloween with a spooky two-day event known as the Haunted Peaks Halloween Festival. It’s a family-friendly event, has plenty of attractions for adults and children alike, and is pretty much perfect. And while this year’s festival will look a bit different due to current conditions, the community has come together to create a safe, fun, and sometimes scary affair.

The Big Sky Town Center is a collection of shops, restaurants, bars, and other attractions.

During the Haunted Peaks Halloween Festival, the businesses often decorate to get in on the fun.

Typically, the event kicks off with a huge block party with music, food, and games…

…but this year, the event will look different. That said, it will still be a blast.

The festival kicks off on October 30th with day one of the Haunted Peaks Window Display Competition, Geocache Mystery, and even a virtual horror film festival sponsored by Lone Peak Cinema.

Not every event is virtual this year – guests are still welcome to enjoy the opening night party at Blue Buddha Sushi Lounge (the DJ will have a live broadcast).

This year’s Haunted Peaks Halloween Festival will be better than ever thanks to the community’s ability to adapt.
