Winter might seem like an odd time to go hiking… and admittedly, many parts of the Treasure State simply aren’t accessible after the first major snowfall. However, the coming snowy season is actually an excellent time to get outside and stretch your legs, assuming you have access to some local trails. If you happen to live near Billings, just had to the Four Dances Recreation Area and find the main trailhead for a winter scene like you’ve never seen.

The Four Dances Recreation Area is set on 765 acres of undeveloped open space just outside of Billings.
