An average winter in New Jersey brings about 15 inches of snow to Cape May County and 62 inches of snow to Sussex County. Winter 2019-2020 saw just .4 inches of snow in the southern half of our state and 39 inches up near High Point. According to the Farmers’ Almanac, this winter will be different.

Their forecast predicts a cold and snowy winter, though that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Look how lovely Hillsborough is, coated in snow.

They also expect a mid-February blizzard with snow totals up to two feet!

The monthly schedule will look something like this: November is set to be stormy with rain and sleet. December will bring a mid-month snowstorm. January means snow for the northern half of the state and a wintry mix in the south. Winter finishes with the aforementioned February blizzard.
