A few years ago, tourists passing over the Rip Van Winkle Bridge would have had to settle for cruising by in their cars. But in 2018, the bridge’s pedestrian walkway was completed, giving adventurers a chance to span the massive bridge on foot. With the Hudson River rushing below, crossing the Rip Van Winkle Bridge is an incredible experience, offering views of the river and the Catskills that are unmatched.

The Rip Van Winkle Bridge towers 145 feet over the Hudson River and is 5,040 feet long, with a walking path for pedestrians who want to take on the nearly mile-long trek.
