H.H. Holmes, the very first serial killer in the United States, may have met his end in 1896 after terrorizing the Chicago area. However, that doesn’t mean his spirit rests. Halloween legend has it that Holmes has returned to his favorite burial spot in Elgin, ironically the site of Big Timber Campground, where his victims still remain. You can now drive through the Terror in the Timbers in Illinois…but be forewarned that Holmes’ spirit may be lurking in the shadows.
Brace yourself for an utterly terrifying adventure this October at Terror in the Timbers, a drive-thru Halloween attraction that’s perfect for thrill-seekers age 10 and older.
