Headed to Ocracoke in the near or distant future? We feel the love for this special spot in North Carolina, too! While mapping out your bucket list for must-visit spots in the sand, be sure to include a stopover at Springer’s Point Nature Preserve, a 120-acre coastal preserve that includes a maritime forest, grasslands, a salt marsh, and a hidden sandy beach on the Pamlico Sound.
The short, 0.8-mile, sandy hike is mostly shaded and winds through the natural flora of this Sound-front haven.
