North Carolina is home to a few places where you can go snow tubing. But the spot with the steepest hill will make that tubing adventure the thrill of a lifetime. If you’ve never been to Moonshine Mountain in Hendersonville, then here’s what you’ve been missing:
Although it’s not the largest snow tubing facility in the state, Moonshine Mountain is one of the funnest places to tube in the snow.

From far away it may not look that way, but once you’re at the top and barreling down the slope at breakneck speeds, you’ll understand.

Form a train of up to six tubes and you’ll go even faster!
TripAdvisor/roadrunner1af Trains are limited to six tubers and riders in the train must be at least 48-inches tall.
Tubing tickets are sold in two-hour increments and this is the most fun you can possibly have in two hours during the winter in North Carolina.

After, or even during, take a break to warm up by the fire pit.
TripAdvisor/Abycats Moonshine Mountain also has a full gift shop and a food truck where you can refuel while you’re at the park.
And don’t worry if Mother Nature isn’t cooperating by sending natural snow from the heavens… Moonshine Mountain makes its own snow. So as long as the temps are cold, there should be snow on the (Moonshine) mountain!
