Stephens Gap is an incredible cave that’s located in Jackson County, Alabama. To reach it, you’ll hike a trail that’s nearly two miles round trip.

While hiking this short trail, you’ll want to be extra careful because its rocky terrain can sometimes be wet and slippery.

Stephens Gap, which is the primary feature of Stephens Gap Callahan Cave Preserve, has a 143-foot pit and is one of the Southeast’s most amazing caves. It’s also one of the most photographed caves in the United States.
