As of this publication, dining around Colorado has come to a halt, with take-out and delivery being the only option for enjoying your favorite restaurant fare. Before long, however, rules will hopefully change, and we can once again enjoy dining in at all of our favorite restaurants, including those in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, which was recently called one of the best foodie destinations in America:

The results are in, and Steamboat Springs is not only THE place to eat in the Centennial State but in the country!

According to the Denver Post’s The Know Outdoors, “Steamboat is a road trip-worthy food and beverage destination, and it’s the perfect place to spend a long weekend eating and drinking right now,” and we could not agree more!

In an interview with The Know Outdoors, Steamboat Springs Chamber CEO Kara Stoller said that “One thing that makes Steamboat stand out is how approachable every restaurant and bar is," adding that she didn’t think you find that everywhere else.

When you visit Steamboat Springs today, you will find a huge variety of different restaurants, ranging from laid back new-American fare (a la the Truffle Pig) to small plates and charcuterie (Laundry) to breakfast favorites (The Egg and Winona’s Restaurant) and Italian (Mazzola’s Italian Restaurant, pictured).

In addition to the previous quote, Stoller also acknowledges that local restauranteurs know how to both bring in patrons and make them feel comfortable, thanks to a unique spin on food and good, old-fashioned western Colorado hospitality.
