We’ve all heard of the drive-in movie theater, where we can usually catch a double feature while loading up on goodies, all from the comfort of our cars. Well, start counting down the days because there’s a new kind of moving-watching experience on its way. A floating cinema in Missouri will allow you to watch a movie as you relax on a boat with your family and friends.
Beyond Cinema is bringing its Floating Cinema to St. Louis the week of September 9-13, 2020, and it’s one of those unique events you won’t want to miss.

Floating Cinema will feature between one and two dozen boats of moviegoers. However, if you want to participate, you’ll have to rent an entire boat for the evening. A boat comfortably sits up to eight people.

Renting the whole boat accomplishes a few things. First, you get to hang out with family, friends, or whoever you want to invite to this unique event on the water.

Second, it allows moviegoers to practice social distancing. Guests are asked to maintain a safe social distance from other boats and moviegoers not in their party.

Before your boat hits the water, you’ll be treated to free popcorn for the movie. You’ll also have the opportunity to buy snacks and drinks before the movie begins.

Ticket prices, location, and movies, which are set to be a mixture of classics and modern favorites, have not yet been announced.
