Located way out near the eastern border about 20 miles east of Pioche, Spring Valley State Park is as hidden as it gets. However, those who make the trip all the way out here are rewarded with the most jaw-dropping scenery and endless adventure.

Hiding out at the east end of Nevada State Route 322, Spring Valley is the perfect place to enjoy some water-oriented recreation. Providing instant access to the 65-acre Eagle Valley Reservoir, boating and fishing are great ways to enjoy the reservoir’s blissful waters.

The park’s remote setting makes it a fantastic camping destination for those who prefer to avoid the crowds at more popular campgrounds. Horsethief Gulch Campground is the main campground in the park and boasts 36 campsites on the west side of the reservoir.

Best of all, the park is open all year long. Snow makes accessing this remote state park a little more difficult, but it’s worth it to enjoy this pristine snowy landscape. Bring your snowshoes!
