This year, make plans to head to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Speedway Christmas, where you’ll find more than 3.5 million twinkling lights adorning the track. Drive through them enjoying some festive music – and then take in a holiday flick on the drive-in movie screen (on select nights). It’s a full evening of family-friendly fun and it all starts on November 21, 2020.
This is the 11th rendition of Speedway Christmas and this fun event is already on many North Carolinian’s must-do list for the holidays each year.

As with previous years, though, the attendance is much heavier on Friday and Saturday nights. If you can attend on another night, then your wait time will be much less.

After making your way around the 3.75-mile course while listening to 101.3-FM for holiday cheer, be sure to head to the holiday drive-in theater to watch a Christmas flick. (Movies are only shown on Thursday through Sunday nights.)

Speedway Christmas takes place November 21, 2020 – January 17, 2021. The event is closed on Christmas Day. Pricing for this event is by vehicle (not by person). The cost varies depending up on the day of the week you decide to go. Tickets must be purchased in advance. At checkout, you’ll have the option to upgrade your vehicle pass to a fast pass for a fee.
