Feel like a kid all over again with a visit to North Carolina’s waterfall sliding board. Sliding Rock, as it’s called, is a 60-foot natural water slide in the forest near Brevard. The waterfall is a popular attraction that’s operated 365 days a year, with lifeguards on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

The attraction is found very near to another popular waterfall, Looking Glass Falls and is powered by the flow of Looking Glass Creek. Load up the car and get on the road and don’t let summer come to a close without a fun day on this natural sliding board.

It’s worth it to note that the pool at the bottom of the sliding board can be as deep as eight feet.

For this reason, it’s vitally important that everyone who slides can swim or, if not, is wearing a life preserver.
