Do you like having adventures off-grid where you can disconnect from the world? If you’ve ever thought sleeping in a Mongolian yurt was a dream, then you’ll appreciate the reality of off-grid stays in this warm little hut. If you can keep a campfire going, you’ll love it here.

Welcome to a handmade Mongolian yurt, a way to sleep in nature that is only one step away from a tent. Think of it as a big, sturdy tent with structure, and you’ve got it!

Down a gravel road sits this beautiful yurt, decorated much more beautifully than others you might have seen at state parks around the state. It’s a work of art you can sleep in — if you don’t mind roughing it.

On the inside, you’ll keep things warm with a wood stove. It’ll have to stay running the whole time you sleep here if it’s cold out! Just like a fire at a campsite.

However, unlike a tent, you’ll have a mattress ready to go here, with blankets and more. It’s equal parts rugged and cozy, with no electricity or water, just like camping. It’s great for unplugging from the world and enjoying a simpler life for a little while.

In the winter, as long as you keep the woodstove going, you’ll have plenty of warmth inside. The yurt is closed from June through August due to the heat, which makes sense. Staying inside of a hot canvas tent wouldn’t be very comfortable, if you ask us.

Living like a nomad in this beautiful yurt will keep you immersed in nature and away from the tech for a well-needed break.

Living off the grid is a dream for a short while, and living it in reality would be even better. Now you can have that for a little while, right here outside of Lawrence.
