When it comes to wine, North Carolina produces some of the very best in the country. If you love touring the vineyards in the Tar Heel State, then there’s a new one to check out. Serre Vineyards opened in September near Mt. Airy and, aside from delicious wine, a visit here is quite the experience.

Let’s start with the 3,000-square-foot tasting room that feels more like a French country barn.

The views are so beautiful, in fact, that weather permitting, you’ll want to spend all of your time out on the grass terrace that overlooks the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains.

Go find a seat on the grass terrace and prepare to slow things down so you can enjoy the wine and the views.

In today’s crazy world, we all need to hit pause once in a while and just take a moment to reflect. You can easily do that here at Serre Vineyards.

And if you’d like to extend your stay, Serre has a two bedroom guest house you can rent for the night (or longer).
