This park provides plenty of virtually untouched space to serve as a safe home for the flora and fauna of Rhode Island.

The Neutaconkanut Hill Park Loop is about 1.7 miles in length, and it’s considered a great, easy hike for all skill levels.

This hill actually has quite a history. It was the northwest boundary of the land agreement between Roger Williams, the founder of Rhode Island, and the Narragansett people.
Brian Platt / alltrails.com Eventually the property was purchased by the Borden family, followed by the King family (until 1892). A family monument still stands on the property, and you’ll see plenty of tidbits from the past on the trail.
But as interesting as the local history of this place is, it’s the views that keep people coming back for more…
