As Idaho’s only mountain coaster, a ride on the Glade Runner is definitely an experience to remember. Consisting of 4,330-feet of high-speed twisting and turning, you’ll be bursting with excitement as you soar across the mountain landscape.

You’ll find the mountain coaster located just east of the Simplot Lodge. Each cart carrying a driver and passenger is pulled to the top of the track and then released for a thrilling ride among the treetops.

As you can imagine, this is a fantastic way to soak up the beautiful mountain scenery. During fall, the mountain becomes covered in spots of yellow, orange, and maroon perfectly contrasted against the lush green forest.

The really cool thing about the mountain coaster is that it allows you to control the ride. By pressing on the cart’s handles, the driver can choose to soar along the track at top speeds or take it slow and enjoy the scenery.

Tickets to the mountain coaster can be purchased at the Simplot Lodge ticket window. One ride costs $15 for a single rider and $25 for a driver with a passenger.
