Along the shores of Lake Norman near Cornelius, North Carolina, a lakeside park offers residents and visitors a refreshing place for outdoor activities, including a sandy beach where, under normal circumstances, visitors can enjoy a perfect way to cool off on warm day. For the time being, due to the pandemic, the beach is closed but the rest of Ramsey Creek Park is open for business and doles out many other ways to enjoy this roadside stop in the Tar Heel State.
Clocking in at a little over 43 acres, Ramsey Creek Park is located only 20 minutes from Uptown Charlotte and less than three miles from Interstate 77.

Swimming is ordinarily allowed from the beach from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
