Wyoming may not have theme parks or enormous, crowded waterparks, but did you know you can find a natural waterslide in Wyoming? Head to the Wind River Range near Lander to find an exciting adventure that’s perfect for a hot and sunny day.
The Popo Agie Falls trail is about six miles outside of Lander, near Sinks Canyon State Park.

The trailhead is easy to find from the parking area - cross a bridge from Bruce’s Camp and you’ll be well on your way.

Unlike many hikes in the Wind River Range, this one is well marked. It’s also fairly popular, so expect a bit of a crowd if the weather is nice.

The trail is pretty rocky, so trekking poles and hiking boots are recommended. Carry bear spray, too - after all, this is Wyoming, and you don’t want an encounter with a bear to ruin anyone’s day.
