While some amenities are temporarily closed due to current conditions, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy a day at this nature lover’s paradise.

Point Mugu State Park is located in the Santa Monica Mountains on the outskirts of Malibu.

Here you’ll find five miles of ocean shoreline with rocky bluffs, sandy beaches, sand dunes, rugged hills, two major river canyons, and wide grassy valleys dotted with trees.

The park is 15,000 acres in its entirety, so there’s plenty of space for Southern Californians to enjoy.

Point Mugu State Park offers a whopping 70 miles of hiking trails, ranging from short, easy walks to lengthy, more challenging treks.

This space is also perfect for enjoying a simple beach day complete with picnics and swimming.

Under normal circumstances, you’d also be allowed to enjoy RV camping right on the beach in designated areas.
