It’s winter and with that comes snow and plenty of outdoor adventures! For the ultimate winter recreation destination, come to the Rockford Park District’s Snow Park at Alpine Hills where you can participate in several winter sports all in one place.
Located 10 minutes from downtown Rockford, this five-acre park is a place where visitors can enjoy tubing, snowboarding, and outdoor ice skating.

Book your 90-minute tubing time for a fun time coasting down a snowy hill. Riders ages 6 and up and at least 42 inches tall can ride alone. Children ages 4-5, or those under 42 inches tall, must ride a mini-tube in tandem with an adult.

If you come here to snowboard, your equipment must have metal edges. No board? No problem! For an additional fee, you can rent one at the park.
