Good news, South Carolina! If you’ve always wanted to paint a masterpiece, then you’ll be happy to learn you don’t need a natural ability in order to paint a winner at Sip & Gogh, a studio that holds themed painting events where you’ll sip (if you desire) as you paint and learn. And the best part? That masterpiece is created in one session! Read on to learn all you need to know about this unique (and now open) art studio.
At Sip & Gogh, budding artists can join a themed class, attend a private adult party, or even a kids’ party.

And the end result of any painting soiree is always a keeper piece of art to treasure for years to come.

The Sip & Gogh website lists a bevy of themed classes all month long. So pick the theme and date that appeal to you and your schedule.
Google Images/Iceblue Eyes You may be painting Swan Lake at Iris Gardens, or mermaids, mythical creatures (think Bigfoot), a beach scene, birds, or any of the many (and we mean MANY) more options. The themes are fun and it will be difficult to narrow it down to just one.
Then, as your painting soiree gets underway, an instructor will take you through exactly how to go about layering in the elements of your masterpiece.
Google Local/Matthew Newman She’ll be front and center and ready to lend a hand if needed, also.
Overall, the process is a hoot that’s sure to make you smile (even if no one can see it underneath your face covering).
Facebook/Sip&Gogh The classes are a wonderful way to reconnect with friends or even one friend with whom you’ve truly missed spending time with over the last few months. And the studio has reduced capacity during the classes so that everyone has plenty of personal space for distancing.
In the end, and even though the themed class has everyone aiming to paint the same final scene, the results are always still a bit different — and always weirdly wonderful.

Themed classes are designed for adults and for kids.
Facebook/Sip&Gogh This one was a bit of a crossover where Marvel characters were the object of each painting!
Ready to Sip & Gogh? It’s as easy as checking out the official Sip&Gogh website and navigating to the “classes” link to select your date and theme. You can also see a list of upcoming events on the Facebook page. There are adult and kids classes scheduled for practically every single day. Is this something you’d love to try and even invite a friend? We’d love to hear your feedback (and to see your masterpiece if you’ve already created one at Sip & Gogh)!

Sip & Gogh opened in 2015 as a paint-your-own-canvas studio where artists are invited to bring their own choice of beverage to enjoy during the experience. It’s located in Sumter and the hours vary.
