See Wildcats Up Close On This One Of A Kind Adventure In North Carolina
Cat lovers rejoice: there is a North Carolina day trip waiting to be placed on your calendar. Approximately 30 miles west of Raleigh lies a wildcat sanctuary whose sole mission is saving and protecting wildcats in captivity and in the wild. Carolina Tiger Rescue, located in Pittsboro, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit wildcat sanctuary that opened in 1981 and is home to 50 wildcats on 55 acres. Google Maps/Stefan Kowalewski Tours are offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday — and you’ll be surprised how close you can actually get to these majestic creatures without actually touching them....
