If the walls of the Amber Inn could talk…they’d have a lot to say. The building that houses the popular bar and grill was built in 1881! Its age isn’t its only claim to fame, though. The Amber Inn has continuously operated as a drinking establishment since day one, which can’t be said for many other historic taverns in the area. On top of all that, it serves up some great burgers. This is one place that definitely belongs on your bucket list. Take a look:

On Madison Street in Eau Claire, you’ll find the Amber Inn Bar and Grill.

The two-story structure that houses the bar and grill was built back in 1881 and initially served as Walter’s Brewery.

It’s one of only a few structures in the area that was built as a bar and has remained a bar. And its historical significance hasn’t gone unnoticed – throughout the decades, it’s attracted people from near and far.

The fact that it’s always been a drinking establishment isn’t the only thing about Amber Inn that hasn’t changed, though. The building itself has remained relatively unaltered since its construction in 1881.
