History and natural beauty unite at Glen Park! Even better, there’s an incredible bridge that’s perfect for soaking it all in. With so much to offer, this small town park is truly one-of-a-kind…and a must-visit for all ages. Take a look:

There’s a lot to love about Glen Park in River Falls, but the park’s most iconic feature is its namesake bridge – the Glen Park Swinging Bridge (a.k.a. Glen Park Suspension Footbridge).

The bridge was constructed over the course of several months in 1925. Though the bridge that stands today is a replica, parts of the original stonework remain.

Regardless of its replica status, the bridge has remained a local favorite throughout the decades – and after one walk across, it’s easy to see why.

The views from atop the bridge are absolutely stunning!

An incredible vantage point, it’s the perfect place to take in the expansive beauty of the Kinnickinnic River and its cascading waterfall.

Breathtaking vistas aren’t the only thing that makes the bridge so special, though. There’s also the fact that it’s extremely unique.

The Glen Park Swinging Bridge may be only one of two similar types of footbridges in the U.S. Furthermore, it’s been deemed a rare example of a cable suspension bridge by the Wisconsin Historical Society.

Though the swinging bridge is the highlight of the park, there’s much more to explore, including the gorge below the bridge.

Easy to access, there’s a trail that extends from the bridge down into the gorge, where you can get a close-up look at the South Fork of the Kinnickinnic River and its cascading waterfall.
