Winters in Arizona can look a variety of different ways depending on where you go. Cities like Flagstaff are buried in snow for much of the season, while it often feels like a breezy spring day in Phoenix and Tucson. Luckily, the Old Farmers Almanac is predicting a mild winter for the entire Grand Canyon State, with cooler temperatures, but less snowfall than usual.

In a rare stroke of good luck for this tumultuous year, below-normal snowfall is headed our way come wintertime.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac Arizona will see cooler-than-average temperatures, but that’s nothing we can’t handle – especially without blizzard-like conditions to accompany the chill.
The most frigid temps will be seen in parts of New England, with eastern Hawaii and the Pacific Southwest region also forecast to be colder than normal.

Although precipitation is expected to be a constant throughout the season, whether it be in the form of rain or snow.

Snowfall will be above-average in the Northeast, Wisconsin, Upper Michigan, the High Plains, and northern Alaska, but Arizona will see less coverage than we normally do in any given year.
