New Jersey Challenging Hikes With Good Views Mount Tammany

New Jersey may be best known for its beaches (“Jersey Shore” fans, hello), but there are also some really beautiful hiking trails in the state. One of the most popular — and certainly the New Jersey hike with the best view — has to be Mount Tammany.

Mount Tammany is part of the Kittatinny Mountains in Warren County, and stands at about 1,526 feet tall. Mount Tammany has three things going for it: 1.) It’s a pretty challenging hike. 2.) It’s a beautiful forest walk and 3.) You’re rewarded with an unforgettable view of the Delaware Water Gap and the Pennsylvania mountains across the water.

The reason Mount Tammany draws hikers from all over is because of its truly exceptional view of the Delaware Water Gap. Seeing the forest, mountains, and water converge is truly a remarkable sight.
