This shady little campground sits at 7,600 feet, and it’s right next to the Mt. Timpanogos Wilderness Area.

With just 27 single sites, Mt. Timpanogos Campground is pretty small. Each site only allows one vehicle and up to eight people.

Campsites include picnic tables and fire pits, and the campground offers flush toilets and drinking water, but the sites are rustic and don’t include electric hookups.

You’ll enjoy a peaceful, quiet stay here, because RVs must be less than 20 feet long to fit into these sites. You’ll be spared the loud, disruptive noise of televisions blaring from huge motorhomes. ATVs aren’t allowed here, either.

Smaller groups and smaller camping trailers means that wildlife can wander through the campsites without being scared away, so keep an eye out for pretty mule deer and even an occasional moose.
