The Morrell Falls National Recreation Trail is a popular hike that’s located near another favorite natural wonder, Seeley Lake. And while it’s a fantastic terrain to cover in the summer, this area really comes to life in the fall. In fact, it won’t be long until the trail is surrounded by rich, vibrant autumn hues.
Morrell Falls sits nestled at the base of the Swan Mountain Range, and it’s truly stunning.

The Morrell Falls National Recreation Trail is a 5.4-mile out-and-back hike considered to be moderately challenging.

The trail has a fairly low elevation gain, meaning it’s mostly flat.

After you pass Morrell Lake at the one-mile mark, you’ll trek through some dense forest on your way to the falls.

Halfway through the hike, you’ll reach the beautiful Morrell Falls.
