Dolphins, manatees, sharks, turtles, and other interesting marine animals have been enjoying the empty beaches and significantly lower boat traffic.

According to a nonprofit organization Miami Waterkeeper, there have been dozens of sightings and increased reports of wildlife in various areas of the state.

Less boat traffic combined with minimal rainfall has led to the water in Florida becoming much clearer.

This has led to a ton more marine sightings, which have been showcased on social media by Floridians.

In fact, there was even a sighting which scientists believe was a pair of smalltooth sawfish, which are endangered and rare!

Residents are encouraged to report sightings through the non-profit in order to give researchers a better idea of the actual population, but also it’s still important not to disturb any of the marine animals.
