Hogle Zoo is a family favorite during summer months, and this year it’s especially nice to be able to wander through the zoo and breathe in the fresh air. Right now there’s a brand new baby gorilla that you’ll want to meet, and you also won’t want to miss the antics of the new Amur leopard cubs, Storm and Skye.

Meet Storm and Skye! These adorable little Amur leopard cubs were born this spring.

The zoo held a leopard cub naming contest to let the public decide the names of these cute babies. One is male; the other female.

On July 6th, Western Lowland gorilla Jabali gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Father Husani was a little bit concerned about all flurry of activity surrounding the birth, but the gorilla troop has settled in now and this little baby is definitely well-loved.

Jubali is proving to be an excellent mother, and she’s clearly over the moon with her little one.

You can get a close-up look at mama and baby, but you’ll need a reservation. She’s still very young, so the zoo is minimizing the number of guests who see her for now.
